Unlike the previous weeks of this season, an atypical weather front for this time of year entered the area. Winds from the south brought icy cold that caused snowfall in the southern part of Tierra del Fuego, causing an abrupt drop in temperatures.
These changes clearly affected the fishing for a couple of days. Anyway we had some good sessions and overall the fishing was acceptable.
For next week, more traditional weather and some rain are expected, which can help fix the level of the river.

Water Conditions
Water color and visibility: Low water, clear, perfect visibility. The level of water is lower than normal for this time of the season.
Water temperature: 6ºc / 10ºc

Weather Conditions
Air temperatures: 0c / 17ºc
Wind speed ranges from 16 to 74 km/h
Rain during the week: 3.2 mm

Fishing Conditions
Condition of the river is good. Slow flow in some pools due to low water. Fresh and colored fish caught all over the river beats.

Most productive flies:
EMB, nymphs, san juan worm, green machine, salmon flies, Rio Grande Queen,. Leeches at dark.

Fly lines (tips, heads, lengths, densities)
Skagit heads (most used): floating and multi density head (game changer, pickpocket, 3 D, FIST)
Scandi Heads (less used due to windy conditions)
Set of tips from 3 ips sink rate up to T20 MOW tips, Floating tips, type 3-6-8 etc.

Length and strength of tippet and leaders:
9 to 12 feet(tapered). 12 to 20 pounds (tippet)

FOR SAFETY WE HIGLY RECOMMEND WEARING CLEAR GLASSES IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS.
